Funeral services were held for Alvin Ray McLeod Sr., 71, of Lucedale on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church in Leakesville.
Interment followed in Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church Cemetery with Rev. Shannon Thornhill, Rev. Kenny Rogers and Rev. Karl Causey officiating the services.
A veteran who served in the U. S. National Guard, chief inspector in electrical and instrumentation for Gulf Interstate Field Services and a member of Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church, he died May 7. He was born November 10, 1947 in Greene County.
He is survived by his wife Kay McLeod of Lucedale; daughter Cheryl McLeod (Ralph Vicente) of Lucedale; grandchildren Dillon (Jessica) McLeod, Kali (Michael) Arnold, both of Lucedale; great-grandchildren Brailee Reese McLeod, Chadisy Rylan Arnold, both of Lucedale; brothers Verlon J. McLeod (Valerie), Nathaniel (Deniece) McLeod, both of Lucedale; and sisters Annette (Thomas) White and Barbara Fallon, both of Lucedale.
He was preceded in death by his son Alvin R. McLeod Jr., grandchild Chadrick Ryan McLeod, father Beecher Hall McLeod, mother Ruby Clark McLeod, brother Beecher Calvin McLeod and sisters Chrystlene Roberts and Lennie LaVonnia Reeves.
Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro was in charge of arrangements.
