Funeral services for Cary Wilson Jones Sr., 73, of Lucedale were held Nov. 14, 2021 at 4 p.m. at Sigler Funeral Home. He was a lifelong resident of George County. He graduated from George County High School in 1965. He started his career with the United States Postal Service and worked there for 14 years before leaving to start his own business in 1981. He established Jones Electric Sales and Service and worked alongside his son and grandson until retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Free Masons and local lodge. He completed more than 50 years of service as a Master Mason and served as Master of the Lodge. He enjoyed playing billiards and chess and engaging in thought-provoking conversation with family and friends. He lived a quiet and simple life, one with intent and purpose. He considered the life he led to have been complete, having seen his children grow into adulthood and begin careers and families of their own. He was a beloved father and grandfather. He died Nov. 10, 2021. He is survived by his children Cary Jones Jr., Letetia Jones Vuong and Danielle Jones Mntanga; grandchildren Colby Jones, Channinge Cannon, Colin Jones, Brady Evans, Carigan Jones, Max Vuong, Niko Vuong and Eden Mntanga; great-grandchildren Isaiah Jones, Orson Cannon, Carys Cannon, Kaisley Radcliff and Willa Jones, and three brothers Edward, Thomas and Richard “Wayne” Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Wesley Jones and Ruby Jones Shearer. Officiating the services was Rev. Mickey Middleton. Sigler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
