Funeral services were held March 16, 2020 at 11 a.m. for Robert Burdette “Bo” Boulware, 64, of Lucedale at Crossroads United Methodist Church. Interment followed in Crossroads United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Carl Randall officiating the services. He died March 13 in Lucedale. He was born October 4, 1955 in Mobile.
He was a family man who believed in hard work, being honest and helping others. After the passing of his wife, he found love again and became a grandfather figure to several children before his own biological grandchild was born. He worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding for 44 years, many of which were also devoted to representing his coworkers in his roles as president of the Machinists Local Lodge 1133, Chief Steward, President of the MS State Council of Machinists, Delegate to AFL-CIO District 73 and in the Southern States Conference. Photography was Boulware’s passion. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, hot rods and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by Lisa Glover, his loving companion of seven years, daughter, Ragan (Mike) Jones, son, Brandon (Sandy) Boulware, granddaughter, Ryleigh Jones; Lisa’s four daughters and 14 grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Mace Boulware, sister, Bettye (Donnie) Reeves, brothers, Ronnie (Pearl) Boulware and David Boulware and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Fay (Loper) Boulware and father, R.L. Boulware.
Pallbearers were Phillip Boulware, Tommy Bates, Clayton Boydston, Robbie Wingo, Will Sullivan and Vince Lovely. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Binge and Robert Eubanks.
George County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
