Funeral services were held for William Parmer “Billy” Ballow, 76, of Lucedale on Monday, June 17, 2019, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lucedale.
Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery.
A veteran who served inthe U.S. Air Force; a former employee of Ballow Motors in Lucedale, Fred Jones Remanufacturing Ford Parts in Atlanta, Ga., Capitol Ford Trucks in Atlanta, Ga., Treadwell Ford in Mobile, Ala.; the former owner of Billy’s Auto Repair in Lucedale from 1977 to 2007; and a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale, he died June 14. He was born July 11, 1942 in Mobile, Ala. He loved and had a passion for fast cars, all things Ford, motorcycles, especially his three beloved Honda Goldwing motorcycles on which he traveled around the U.S.A.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeannie (Stringer) Ballow; sons Stacy Ballow of Falls Church, Va. and Shane (Tiffany) Ballow of Belle Chasse, La.; grandchildren William and Nora, both of Falls Church, Va.; Anson, Josh and Ian, all of Belle Chasse, La.; sister Karen Tucker of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; nephew Thad of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; brother-in-law M.V. "Mickey" (Patsy) Stringer; and sister-in-law Linda Beasley.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Anson Ballow Jr. and Nelda (Parmer) Ballow, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Ballow Sr., father- and mother-in-law O.V. and Jewel Stringer, brothers-in-law Realus Tucker, Raymond "Dick" Howell and Jimmy D. Beasley; and nephew Derrel Tucker.
