Funeral services were held for Charlie Lee Havard, 68, of Lucedale on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at 12 noon at George County Funeral Home Chapel.

  Interment followed in Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. Bruce McKenzie and Rev. Larry Havard officiating the services.

   A member of the Mississippi National Guard, a car salesman and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, he died July 21 in Mobile, Ala. He was born April 13, 1951.

  He is survived by his daughters Christie (Tracy) Dunton of Huntsville, Ala., Leigh Ann (Charlie) Bishop and Meagan (John) Langston, both of Lucedale; grandchildren Chase (Becca) Dunton, Chasity (Tyler) Daron, Braden Dunton, Cody (Deejay) Bishop, Cole (Christa) Bishop, Carlie Bishop, Raely Langston and Gabriella Langston; six great-grandchildren; sisters Willie Rae (Forbus) Byrd and Betty Sue Fairley; brothers Larry A. (Kim) Havard and James D. (Margaret) Havard; and sister-in-law Sherry Havard.

   He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin Ray and Hazel Mae Havard and brother Calvin Dale Havard.

   Pallbearers included Gerald Byrd, Jamie Dixon, David Tootle, Jason Dunnam, Darrell Havard, and Mark Havard.

   George County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
