Funeral services for Clara Rosetta “Rose” Turner, 89, were held Sept. 12, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church. She was born April 29, 1932 in Pontotoc. She was an active member of Unity Baptist Church and served as treasurer. She loved caring for the babies in the nursery. Her hobbies were cooking, reading and gardening. She enjoyed her family. She died Sept. 9, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband, Linwood Turner; daughter Valerie (Richard) Jackson of Mobile, Ala.; son Kevin Turner of Leakesville; grandchildren Amber Jackson, Stephen (Amanda) Jackson and Eric (Amanda) Jackson; great-grandchildren Hank, James, Harrison, Teddy, Meryll and Charlotte; sisters Roberta (Robert) Anderson, Gwyn Turner, Mary Louise (Oliver) Heath, Cindy (David) Beavers and Patsy Delchamps and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Don Turner; grandson Douglas Jackson and parents Dewitt and Ruth Williams Thompson and Mary Tripp Thompson. Officiating the services was Bro Walter Mixon. Interment was held in Unity Cemetery. Pallbearers included Stephen Jackson, Eric Jackson, Bruce Turner, Bryan Turner, Nick Turner and David Beavers. Moments Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
