Graveside services were held Nov. 15, 2020 for Carol Paula Hinton, 50, formally of Daphne, Ala., at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Creek Cemetery with Rev. Milton Robinson officiating. Born May 16, 1970 in Fairhope, Ala., she died Nov. 13, 2020 after a long and extended battle with Huntington disease. A former teacher with the Mobile County School System, she was a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, James M. “Jim” Hinton; a son, Hunter Hinton of Daphne, Ala.; her father, David C. Hathorn of Lucedale; two brothers, Paul (Cindy) Gafford and Wayne (Gisela) Hathorn, both of Fairhope, Ala.; two sisters, Sheila Quinn of Fairhope, Ala. and Shelby Anderson of Mobile, Ala.; mother-in-law, Annette Hinton Lucas of Lucedale; sister-in-law, Becky (Tom) Harlan of Lucedale and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paula Hathorn. Pallbearers were Martin Hathorn, Melvin Hathorn, Zeb Gafford, Roy Hudson, Hanson Hathorn and Brady Dixon. George County Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
