Funeral services were held for Glen Edward Weaver, 74, of Lucedale on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 1 p.m. at George County Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Interment followed in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Larry Havard officiating the services.
A veteran who served in the U.S. Navy, a boilermaker and a member of the Baptist faith, he died May 13. He was born June 16, 1944.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Annett Shoemaker Weaver; son Mickey (Christy) Weaver of Lucedale; grandchildren Charles (Meghan Wright) Weaver, Ashley (Danny Ray Schneider) Weaver, Brianna (Kodey Baxter) Weaver, Zachery (Rebekah Davis) Weaver and Matthew (Mikayla Dowalter) Weaver; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Brenda Howell of Lucedale, Betty (Charles) Riels of Diamond Head, Marie McEachern, Jan May, Nancy (Wayne) Barrow, Kathey (Ronnie) Barrow and Mae Beth Keel, all of Lucedale; brothers Dooney Weaver of Lucedale, Bill (Joyce) Weaver of Owensboro, Ky. and Tim (Kay) Weaver of Escatawpa; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Lawrence “Speedy” Weaver, parents Red and Agnes Weaver and sister Edith Moody.
Pallbearers included Bill Weaver, Charles Weaver, Danny Ray Schneider, Matthew Weaver, Zachery Weaver and Brent Howell.
George County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
