Memorial services will be held at a later date for David Earl George, 67, who died in Barton community on March 28, 2020.
An appliance repairman for several years and later worked in the seafood industry, he lived in Biloxi until Hurricane Katrina caused him to relocate. He was born in Pascagoula on June 17, 1952.
He was described as an outgoing young man with a bit of a free spirit about him; he and his friends would take road trips with only the coastlines as their limit. He loved history and math and always carried a calculator with him. A very determined person willing to stand his ground for whatever he believed, he enjoyed crosswords, sudoku and other puzzles along with Jeopardy and other games that test one’s knowledge. He was described as quiet, reserved and highly intelligent. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend to many and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by brother Billy (Susan) George of Moss Point, sister Wendy (Michael) Slaton of Barton, and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel W. and Climmie George and brother Wallace George.
