With less than 60 days until Election Day on November 8, the 2022 mid-term election cycle is rapidly picking up speed. Ballots are now set, according to Circuit Clerk Chad Welford. Campaign signs are springing up everywhere and absentee voting will begin next Monday, September 26.

Citizens who have not previously registered to vote may do so until Monday, October 10. Registering to vote is easy. You must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, mentally competent, and a resident of George County for at least 30 days prior to the election. You can register to vote in person at the Circuit Clerk’s office or register by mail. To register by mail, you must request a voter application, complete it and return it to the Circuit Clerk’s office by the October 10 deadline.
