“Channel the Flannel” is the theme for the October Second Saturday events scheduled in Lucedale on Saturday. Persons attending are asked to wear flannel in observance of the theme. Hours of Second Saturday are from 5 to 8 p.m. on East Main Street. East Main will be blocked from traffic so that pedestrians may walk freely from shop to shop and enjoy the shopping, special events and entertainment. Festivities will include *Fundraiser for Fostering by Faith - new packs of diapers and baby wipes will be accepted in return for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate. * Pumpkin Patch Photo Booth * Antique tractors display *Craft vendors * Food trucks * TruNorth Bluegrass live music * Performance by The Twirling Co. * Face painting * Pumpkin carving by Bryan Bennett The public is welcome to attend. Off-street parking will be available at designated locations. This week will be last Second Saturday of the year. On November 27, the Downtown Merchants will host the Christmas Tree Lighting “Magic on Main Street” from 5 to 8 p.m. This event will be similar to Second Saturday. It will consist of food trucks, multiple performances, craft vendors, Santa and other events.
